Bungaree have moved into 2nd on the CHFL ladder following a comprehensive 79 point win over Beaufort on Saturday. Jackson Murphy put his hand up for Interleague selection with a 5 goal bag playing in the midfield whilst Josh Brown and Jason Brown proved unstoppable at either end of the ground.

The Demons have the weekend off to regroup before heading to Daylesford on June 2 in what should be a great challenge and an opportunity to make a statement to the rest of the competition.

Congratulations to Shaun Finlayson, Jackson Murphy and Ricky Cummins who have all made it through to the 2nd cut of 29 for Interleague which will be held at Nar Nar Goon this Saturday. James Costigan and Nich Weightman have been named in the U18 squad in the curtain raiser.

The Club would like to emphasize how proud we are to have these players representing our club on the big stage in what should be a ripping weekend for the league.

The Reserves have moved to the top of the table following a hard fought 25 point win over Beaufort. Andy Steenhuis and Jake Trevenen were a class above as the Demons made it 6 from 6.

The U18’s pulled off a miraculous comeback in wet and greasy conditions to run out 7 point winners with captain Beau McIntosh clearly the best on the park.

The U15’s sank to their 2nd straight loss against the flag favorites but will take plenty of positives out of a very competitive first half. The U12’s also went down by 33 points.

The A Grade enjoyed a commanding 28 goal win over the Crows with coach Amanda Clarke named best on court. All other grades enjoyed healthy victories which has seen Bungaree seize the lead in the Champion Club award after 6 rounds.

On a social note following our Round 7 clash with Daylesford we are holding a Girls Night In at the Bungaree Social Rooms for all of the women involved at our club. This is aimed at ALL women involved at the club, from netballers to parents of both football and netball aspects of the club. Please come along and have a terrific night with the other ladies involved in the club whilst at the same time raising some money for breast cancer research. Half of the $10 door charge will be donated to the Breast Cancer Support Network.

The boys are then holding an Ipod Shuffle Day on the Sunday at the rooms, with songs costing $40 each. See Brunsy or Leigh for tickets.

Thanks to Luke and Kane for a fantastic show on Saturday night, all those that hung around will tell you how good a night it was!
